(/Limousine’ Liberals and the Secular ‘Jesus’ Complex – Shadow-boxer, Guest Post)
Hillary was qualified, no doubt, given her years in Washington, but she was too tainted. She lacked real integrity and that made her unworthy of the office.
There is something epically tragic about Hillary on a grand Shakespearean level: Mena, Whitewater, Cattle futures, now servergate….not to mention all the dead bodies, and Huma Abadin’s family ties to radical muslimist Saudi funders of terror, and those private talks given to Goldman Sachs execs for $250K a pop.
Ultimately, I think it is the Clinton Foundation scandal that will take her down.
Thanks Wiki leaks. (Oh yeah, that is what investigative journalism looks like.) It was rumoured Hillary asked the military if they could take out Assange with a drone strike a few years ago. (Seriously).
Secret to avoiding being zapped by one of Hillary’s drones: Become an airbrushed celebrity news anchor with an absurdly pretentious name like Wolf, or Cookie, or Karsten, don’t report on the emails, and excuse her moral failures by accusing critics of being bigots who don’t want to see a woman as president.
Barack lost her the election, too. He was smooth and intelligent but deeply indebted to Wall Street: A $40 Billion bailout of Citigroup, with an additional $300 billion lifeline, but no prosecutions. In the past few years, banks collectively donated close to a billion to political campaigns. There are emails from Citigroup from 2008 with lists outlining the people they wanted in his cabinet – sent to Obama (I think via Podesta). Every one of them was installed, and that same Citi exec was given a key position in financial oversight.
I suppose it was change money can buy, but certainly not change the great unwashed of America can believe in.
Although they did – because it was Obama – until the banks foreclosed on their houses. But when it came time to foreclose on the banks they instead got bailouts and bonuses and no jail time. And they are still up to their tricks creating millions of fraudulent accounts that they can charge fees on, or rigging FX spreads.
Eventually, people figured it out. They knew Hillary was even more compromised, and it would be four more years of the same nothing. Four more years of underemployment, taxed but not truly represented, and more of their kids (not the so-called elites kids) coming home from the middle east in body bags.
Even more insulting were the Hollywood limousine liberals, with their private jets (although they are all about saving the planet) flying in to save Hillary’s campaign by trying to zombify the commoners by dazzling them with their glitz and glam, and telling the little folk – whose pain they feel – how they should vote, and talk, and think, and eat and fuck….and that they should continue to buy their rubbish music and movies and continue enrich them with more untold millions.
But that’s the funny thing about the limousine liberals. It’s not enough that they are beautiful and super rich, they need to satisfy a secular Jesus complex too. Not that they actually want to be among the common folk and help them in their struggles…they just conceptually like having them around as a cause, and distributing the occasional alms while everyone is watching.
The reality is they are way too precious and entitled. And they really don’t do poor, or ugly. (Not that it’s a form of bigotry or anything.)
But they will gladly do anyone’s hot groupie daughter that shows up to one their concerts or film festivals.
If any of the above liberals had legitimately been for the people and wanted real change, they would have forgone self-interest and voted in someone like Bernie Sanders.
Instead, they backed the status quo Hillary who was unrelenting in her efforts to torpedo Sanders campaign – again you can thank Wiki leaks for showing just how mercenary she was during the primaries.
Had she any dignity or integrity she would have stepped down, especially knowing what was at stake. But that’s the point. It has always been about her, and them, never the people.
Only this time enough of the little people figured that out. They turned off CNN and started reading alt media. I am firmly convinced this was the first presidential election to have its outcome singularly determined by a constituency that gathered their news and info via the web. Mainstream news no longer has credibility in most peoples eyes. Not when it comes to the question of leadership, anyway.
Many of the votes for Trump were effectively a protest vote against more of the corruption and self-interest noted above.
Is Trump a transparently narcissistic buffoon, with a checkered business past? Is he an elitist born into privilege with no real connection to the common folk? Yes absolutely.
But in a weird way he became the people’s buffoon and bully. He had the platform and the media savvy, and he was able to strike back and upend the establishment on behalf of the little folk.
Michael Moore proved prophetic. This was one giant “F–k You!” from a collective of the great unwashed.
With no other alternative, Trump ultimately proved an effective mouthpiece, expressing the anger and frustration of the people. He pushed the right buttons, asserted that he can’t be manipulated or bought; that he’ll drain the swamp, and undo all the bad deals that spawned the exodus of so many working class jobs.
It remains to be seen whether he will be able to do any of it. But one thing is certain, he will be the most scrutinized president ever to assume the office. Any and every misstep, or even a hint of abuse of power for personal gain and the shrill liberal media will broadcast it around the globe.
I don’t think there has been little confidence in a president elect since W. took office.
He has enormous power out of the gates with both the house and senate stacked in his favor, but let’s not forget even his own party abandoned him. Trump was effectively an independent running on the GOP ticket, which he was able to co-opt fairly early because of his media savvy. Like him or hate him – he is thoroughly comfortable in front of the camera and a master of the sound bite.
But they all want him to fail and fail badly – both the establishment Dems and Republicans – they want everything returned to status quo, stat – so they can get back to the business of being ineffective for the people, while enriching themselves. And I have no doubt the dirty politics in Washington will be dialed up several notches to ensure his failure and demonstrate to the little, simple folks that they have to leave matters of leadership to the ivy league educated professional politicos. Who knows, there may be a few dead bodies before its all done.
Its a mess. Had they hung a few token bankers when they had the chance we probably wouldn’t be here now.
But I think most people agree on one thing. The system has long been broken and at this point there is no going back. People, not just in the US, but also in many parts of the world no longer have confidence in their leadership. Look at Europe and Brexit.
Trump has said a lot of stupid things (like building the wall), and he has shown he can be ignorant and insensitive to race disabled. And he is a pig with women. (A lot of elites are pigs….except the actors and rock stars. They are just free spirits when they randomly grope a women’s breast.)
Problem is between his notes of hyperbole there have been elements of truth:
– Hillary really is a crook & has no real record of political success.
– Washington is a cesspool
– They have been afraid to speak openly about terrorism in this campaign & the middle east has been a disaster
– The veterans have been abandoned & forgotten
– Tax dodgers like Apple Corp. should face penalties for offshoring jobs and not paying their fair share.
– Segments of the disenfranchised minorities have been long been forsaken and actually do have nothing to lose.
– Mainstream media is totally biased and a propaganda tool for the liberal agenda
I admit I am choosing to be naïve right now. I don’t think Trump is an American Mussolini…I actually believe he meant it when he said: “I love America.” and “I will not let you down”. I really do think he is going to try to enact change for the better & is less beholden than the others. Whether he even remotely succeeds is another matter entirely. But, given his improbable win, he has earned the chance to prove the doubters wrong.
Anyways, watching the street demonstrations against Trump that are happening across the country right now. Karsten and Cookie are gushing how we are witnessing democracy in action – the people’s right to express themselves.
…Unlike those Occupy Wall Street scumbags. Good thing the cops bulldozed their tents and tossed them out of Zuccotti park….plus they stank…and most of them were ugly.
And Snowden – who should be shot for treason for telling the truth about unconstitutional surveillance of the general population. Bastard. Commie. Pinko.
Speaking of which, I really wanted to see Bernie in the White House right now. But I would have gladly stuck the knife in his back to shake a little booty with that foxy mama Beyoncé.
Ah wait, I forgot. I am broke, and she don’t do ugly.
