Our Occulted History: Do the Global Elite Conceal Ancient Aliens? By Jim Marrs (William Morrow) 2013

When a book by Jim Marrs is published and released it is somewhat of an event in the conspiracy community and increasingly in the broader mainstream of fans of historical non-fiction.

Rule by Secrecy and Alien Agenda were particular favorites of mine and Crossfire: The Plot That Killed Kennedy is a modern-day “conspiracy-a-go-go” classic.

So, when I saw Marrs was planning to release a title called Our Occulted History, I immediately ordered it earlier this year. But with a stack of other books waiting to be read, it took a while to before I read it, ultimately making it a poolside read that proved to be quite the page-turner.

Could the accepted, evolutionary rise of human beings from the sea to the stars not be the complete story of our history?

As Marrs notes: “Only through persistent study, curiosity, and critical thinking will individuals become aware that our history has been corrupted and suppressed. Such hiding of truth raises many unanswered questions … Humanity appears to be in a footrace to see whether we will gain true freedom and liberty or submit to the technological and totalitarian world envisioned by Huxley and Orwell and promoted by Perkins’s corporatocracy.”

Does that grab your attention? It grabbed mine and Marrs makes the esoteric and suppressed information in these 340 pages fairly easy to understand, especially for those people who have seen History Channel’s popular Ancient Aliens series.

Marrs takes the reader on a fascinating journey literally from the beginning, addressing the origins of the solar system from noting the ancient Sumerian stone tablets – 3,000 years older than the Bible – as translated by the late Zecharia Sitchin.

Sitchin’s research revealed that a large, rogue planet called Niburu (aka “Planet X”) entered its elliptical orbit near Earth and Mars and a former planet called Tiamat. A collision ensued and changed our solar system forever.

All sorts of anomalies in our solar system are noted. Weird moons and lost space probes are noted.

And then we get to the idea of the Annunaki, a race of god-like entities that ruled planet Earth thousands of years ago., exploiting early humans to do slave-like work for them. Sound strange? More and more ancient texts point to that likely reality.

Marrs simply puts it out there and when you read it, it seems believable.

There is so much to Our Occulted History, more than I can go into in a brief review. This is an important book by an author who is really open to the truth and information behind our true origins.
