CONSPIRACY OF SILENCE: Did the Kepler telescope find alien constructions on Star KIC 8462852?

– Have we found alien mega structures around the mysterious star KIC 8462852? Scientists have discovered a developed bizarre star which may be surrounded by a giant alien structure. The star, named KIC 8462852, is at 1480 light years and was first found in 2009 by the Kepler space telescope.

Researchers have no explanation for the strange variations in the luminosity of the star. Some of them claim that near the star is a colossal alien mega structure hiding.

“We’ve never seen anything like it,” said Tabetha Boyajian from Yale University across from The Atlantic. “It’s very strange. We thought there was a mistake in the data, or that it was the movement of the spacecraft, but all right. ”

Boyajian recently published a paper about the possible causes. In 2011 the bizarre behavior of the star was first noticed. Fluctuations can last from five to 80 days. Investigators initially thought that they are caused by the passage of a number of comet fragments.

Some experts say that the fluctuations are caused by aliens. “Aliens should always be the very last hypothesis you consider, but this looks like a structure that you expect from an alien civilization”, said astronomer Jason Wright of the Pennsylvania State University

Wright and his colleagues said that the unusual light pattern of the star indicates the presence of a swarm of mega structures in the vicinity of the star. He suggests that it is a mass of light panels that store energy from the star.

Wright and Boyajian have already talked with the director of the SETI Research Center Andrew Siemion. They want to focus a huge satellite dish on the star, which they can pick up any radio waves that indicate technological activity. If the radio waves are interesting, astronomers will than delve deeper with the NRAO Very Large Array in New Mexico.
