COVER-UP: China Harvesting Organs From Thousands Of Political Prisoners While They Are Alive

Source – stephenhp1331.wordpress.com

The Chinese government is facing public outcry amid fresh allegations that authorities have routinely had the organs of political prisoners illegally, forcibly removed:

According to Newsweek, well-respected investigators from all over the world agree that thousands of people have had their organs forcefully extracted, without anesthetic, while held in Chinese prisons. Many of the victims belong to a banned religious group called Falun Gong, a forbidden, though peaceful Chinese religion created in 1992. Members continue to face constant discrimination in the country.

Religious persecution is a serious threat for many people in China — in spite of the fact that the Communist government does not espouse an official state religion.

Throughout the years, that same government has imprisoned members of multiple dissident groups, including Tibetans and Christians. Individuals of these incarcerated groups have alleged severe abuse, including organ harvesting. The reported mistreatment and forced procedures date back to the 1990s and include the extractions of livers, corneas, and kidneys.

As researcher Katrina Bramstedt told Newsweek:

“It is known that Chinese surgeons perform the removal procedure [on political prisoners] and sometimes the ‘donor’ has still been alive during this process — the organ removal process is what actually kills them.”

The Chinese government has denied the claims. Officials insist they have never harvested any organs from prisoners against their will — and that all the “donations” are voluntary.

In a recent SBS Dateline documentary about this practice, a medical student said he remembered seeing blood running out of a live subject when he cut their body. He said he removed the individual’s liver and two kidneys, adding that the procedures on inmates were unusually fast and sloppy.

The documentary revealed how patients are secretly placed into incinerators in hospital boiler rooms while they are still alive — after organs are removed from their bodies.

Titled Human Harvest: China’s Organ Trafficking, the exposé found that during an eight-year investigation, the Chinese government took 11,000 organs from political prisoners without anesthetic each year.

One surgeon interviewed in the film said he removed corneas from 2,000 people while they were still alive.

According to a 2008 U.N. investigation found:

“It is reported that employees of several transplant centers [in China] have indicated that they have used organs from live Falun Gong practitioners for transplants.”

China is one of the world’s biggest harvesters of organs, but they reportedly have no organ donation program. This means there is no official record of where these organs originate.

In the video below, researchers suggest there is a massive financial incentive for the Chinese government to execute prisoners so their organs can be used for expensive transplants.

As Newsweek noted, in 2006, the selling price of organs was astronomically high: a liver could garner $98,000 to $130,000 while the price of a lung ranged from $150,000 to $170,000.

Falun Gong: At the heart of China’s Organ Harvesting

Falun Gong is an ancient Chinese spiritual discipline in the Buddhist tradition. It consists of moral teachings, a meditation, and four gentle exercises that are a truly unique and highly effective way to improve your health and energy levels.

By 1999, Falun Gong had grown to become the largest and fastest growing practice of the sort in Chinese if not world history. In just seven years since its 1992 introduction to the public, an estimated 100 million people were practicing Falun Gong.

Today Falun Gong is practiced in more than 70 countries around the world, with clubs and associations existing in a range of cities, companies, universities, and other settings.

Despite the growing popularity of this traditional and ancient form of spiritual exercise those who practice in China are at the scrutiny of serve violations of Human Rights as early as 1996 as the Chinese government banned the publication, distribution and sales of Falun Gong books. By the late 1990’s, the Chinese police were disrupting groups that took part in this form of exercise in public parks.

In April 1996 lead the beginning of the unfortunate events in which the police wrongly arrested and beat practitioners in Tianjin. Soon after, approximately 10,000 Falun Gong practitioners gathered in Beijing to peacefully petition the State Council Appeals office on April 25th 1999. The protestors stated three demands to be met by the Chinese government: asking for the release of the arrested practitioners, a redress of the ban on Falun Gong books and an end to government harassment of the practice.

Although the gathering was exceptionally peaceful, and Premier Zhu Rongji met with practitioners and agreed to honor their requests, the official oppression of Falun Gong accelerated soon after this event.

On June 10th 1999, President Jiang Zemin created the 610 Office, a nationwide police agency with special authority over all local law enforcement bodies, governments and the courts established primarily to spearhead the persecution of Falun Gong and Falun Gong activists. On July 22nd 1999 an all-out media blitz was launched against Falun Gong and the practice was officially declared banned. Since that time, the persecution has continued unabated, regardless of the fact that no actual law exists that establishes the ban or allows the persecution.

While Falun Gong is practiced openly in over 70 countries, today in its homeland of China it is subject to well-documented egregious human rights violations.

The Chinese authorities have utilized a wide variety of mechanisms in their efforts to force adherents to renounce their faith and ultimately wipe out the spiritual group. These strategies have ranged from extreme use of torture and sexual abuse, to the intimidation and harassment of adherents’ family members, to the establishment of a nationwide extralegal task force to implement the eradication policy.

The Party’s ultimate solution for the vast number of incarcerated Falun Gong activist, however, is much more terrifying. According to current and former hospital employees, the Falun Gong have been used in organ matching, in which means that they have been killed by the thousands so that their organs can be used for ‘on demand’ transplants.

Endless amounts of evidence reveals the terrible in depth detail of murder and mutilation in China. Witnesses and Chinese physicians reveal that thousands of Falun Gong activists are being killed for their organs, which are then sold and transplanted at an enormous profit. Stolen organs of those incarcerated can be demanded by organ tourists and desperate patients and sold at an extraordinary profit, from Kidneys at £40,000 to the Heart and Lungs reaching £110,000. The prisoners of conscience, the majority of them being Falun Gong practitioners, are primarily used as a ‘living’ organ donor bank, prisoners that match the demanding patient’s tissue type are then killed for their organs.

The public first became aware of this practice following the testimony of Dr. Wang Guoqi to the U.S. Congress in 2001. Dr. Wang Guoqi stated before Congress that “he had removed corneas and skin from more than 100 executed prisoners, including ones who were still alive”.

In March 2006, a woman claimed that as many as 4,000 Falun Gong practitioners had been killed for their organs at the hospital in which she had worked. She also said that her husband, a surgeon at the same hospital outside the northeastern city of Shenyang, had disclosed to her that he had removed cornea from the living bodies of 2,000 Falun Gong adherents. The data suggest that organ procurement was “on demand” because organs were harvested without acceptable consent and the donors were later killed in the process.
