– Oftentimes adventure seekers like to live minimally, only bringing the absolute bare necessities with them when they travel. When it comes to camper trailers, the teardrop design has been largely popular due to its small size, affording those adventure seekers a small shelter without much bulk. It’s a simple solution for those who do not want to haul around a giant tow-behind camper that is the size of their house. However, for those who like a little more space, the teardrop design can be very uncomfortable.
Beauer, a company based in France, has found a way to create more space in the teardrop campers where there seemingly was none before. Beauer’s new innovative design centers around a “telescoping” method of expansion. With the simple push of a button, Beauer’s 3X caravan expands to three times its original size (in about 20 seconds), providing more than enough room for those who like to travel light, but also live large.
Believe it or not, this new camper design, when expanded, allows room for a bedroom, a kitchen, a dining room, and a living room. These expanded areas have fully functional furnishings in the form of a double bed in the bedroom, a shower, sink and toilet in the bathroom, a large dining room table, and a sofa that also transforms into another double bed. The kitchen also features a two-burner stove, a 130L refrigerator, a sink, and cupboards for storage space.
